Commercials directed by Spike Jonze

This is most definitely one of my favorite commercials ever, just found it on YouTube. Directed by Spike Jonze of Being John Malkovich fame.
Here's some more of his work - pretty good stuff.

Never really got into 24 before, but started watching it this season and it's really intense. Definitely recommend it to you folks, non-stop action throughout the whole hour. They have already detonated a nuke in LA and the season has just begun! Check out how the season began.
Also, this season of Extras on HBO has been really great. Probably my favorite thing on TV right now. Here is a small clip from the episode that was on last night - greatness!!

1920's Reporter Guy Confuses Sydney Crosby

The NHL All-Star Game is at the AAC tomorrow, would be awesome to get to check it out. Sydney Crosby gets it from the Ticket's great 1920's Reporter Guy. You can listen to the Ticket online here. If your not from Dallas and aren't familiar with the Ticket, it is pure greatness. Especially the noon to 3 slot, BaD Radio, and the Hardline from 3-7. The Musers in the morning are also good.

Krispy Pops

This one may be kinda polarizing for you folks, but I find it absolutely hilarious. This will be one of the posts where my Dad calls me and says, "Am I supposed to get this?" It's the dumbest, funniest shit ever. So low brow, it's high brow. Thanks to the Shaner en American del Sur for showing this to me. From The State.

The Nasher.

I went to the Nasher Sculpture Garden a while back to take some photos. If your in Dallas and need something to do, it's a cool thing to check out.

Four Left Turns on Ice!

Even though there is a little black ice on the roads, we are still planning on having our gig tonight at Double Wide - I was just out there and the roads weren't bad at all. All you Uptown and Lakewood rats should have no problem making it out. Kill it.

Japanese Nintendo Commercial

This cracks me up for some reason, the girl is funny. Japanese commercials are brilliant because there is no concept other than one person screaming in the face of another person in frame.

Paula Abdul is Otis Campbell.

What a pathetic display, the sad thing is that this clip is from a morning show. She is a pretty annoying person.

The Four Left Turns @ Double Wide , Jan. 17

Anyone who's in Dallas on Wednesday, January 17th should try to make it out to our gig. This is our first time to play in front of a real audience, and we are very excited. The Double Wide is a cool place as well, we are thrilled to get to play there. Greg Baldia will be going on at 8 and we should hit the stage around 9. If you haven't heard our music, you can check it out at on our myspace page.
Should be a good time --

Worth Checking Out Over the Weekend.

Movie: Children of Men
If you are still recovering from last weekend and need something laid back to do over the weekend, you should check out Children of Men which comes out today. It is the third major film from filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, the director of Y Tu Mamá También and Harry Potter: Prisone of Azkaban. It has been lauded by critics as the "Blade Runner of the 21st century", which is one of my favorites of all time. It stars Clive Owen (who's awesome) and Jullian Moore.

Music: Caitlin Cary & Thad Cockrell - Begonias
Caitlin Cary was one of the founding members of Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams' first band. This album is pure 70's-style country, but don't let that scare you. If you like good alt. country, Jayhawks, Ryan Adams-y music, it's something you should own.

2007 Fiesta Bowl

Here it is just in case anyone missed it live like I did (Guitar Hero 2 has been ruling my life). Being a Texas fan, it is hard to call this the best bowl game ever - but I may call it the second... or third. Pretty crazy, hook and ladder for the touchdown and then statue of liberty to win the game in OT, does that happen? It's also pretty gratifying to see Sooner get an upset.
